Surgery still on

The doctor saw Mom today, and really did not have much new information. Her white blood count is coming down. They are planning to continue with surgery on Monday, and will simply keep her as comfortable as possible in the meantime.

Sofie visited, with gurgles and coos, which is always a delight. Being in Tulsa allows her to see all of her close family, a true blessing. We are praying that she can rest and gain strength before Monday morning.

We are relieved to hear that Connie's white count has come down, Angie, and that surgery will take place as scheduled on Monday. Thanks so much for keeping us informed. I've been worried about Connie all day, and it helps so much being able to check on her progress over the Internet without bothering anybody. I'm sure she really enjoyed Sofie's visit today. Please send her our love and best wishes. Thanks again. Phyllis & Gene

Angie, Thanks so much for taking the time to keep this blog updated and everyone informed. I'm so sad that she has pneumonia, but relieved that the white blood count has dropped. I could visit on Wednesday, but I don't want to overwhelm Connie. Please let me know if I can be of help! Love you all.

Angie, please tell Connie we have her in our thoughts and prayers as she prepares to undergo surgery tomorrow. We pray that all goes well and that there will be no complications so that she can return home soon and have a speedy recovery. With our love and prayers, Phyllis & Gene

Thanks for keeping all of us posted. Hope she is feeling better and you all will be in our thoughts and prayers. Mom wanted me to tell you all hello and she is not very handy with the computer herself. SO, hello from Brenda, Merle, Gordy, Taz and Jackie!

Thank you, Angie, for keeping us informed. She's been in my thoughts since I learned of this. Give her my love, and let her know I'm keeping her Cousin David--who's in Japan--updated. The news from yesterday was encouraging.

Love you, Connie. Your strength and faith is more than a match for whatever is happening with you bod.
